Diocese of Maseno South Anglican Church makes ministerial changes ahead of 2025

The Diocese of Maseno South Anglican Church has initiated significant changes within its clergy as the new year begins, aimed at enhancing spiritual growth and engagement among its congregants.

Under the leadership of Reverend Charles Onginjo, he has wished the newly appointed ministers the best of luck and success in their services as they embark on their new roles.

The changes include various transfers and assignments across parishes, with a focus on revitalizing the church’s mission and outreach within the community.

“Each minister is encouraged to embrace their new responsibilities with dedication and commitment, fostering spiritual nourishment and connection among the faithful,” said Onginjo.

In his new year shakeup at the pulpit, the Diocese of Maseno South Anglican Church Head, made the following far-reaching changes:

Transferring Rev.Bethwel Rogo – Migosi Parish to Shaurimoyo Parish while Rev. Mary Osena – St. Barnabas to Cathedral as Curate.

Rev. Baker Gawo – Emmanuel Shaurimoyo to St. Barnabas and Rev. Eric Otieno – Chiga Parish to St. Mark Migosi whilst Rev. Philemon Oguna – Hon Priest St. Mark’s Migosi.

Also shuffled were Ven. George Rowa – Nyahera Parish to Greater Kisumu Parish and Rev. Gilbert Okech – Greater Kisumu Parish to Chiga Parish.

Rev. Clarkson Otieno – Orando Parish to Ongiyo Parish and Rev. Titus Anyumba – Orando Parish.

In more changes, Rev. George Ogada – Marera Parish while Rev. Adonijah Omollo – St. Luke’s Ramba to Nyahera Parish and Rev. Hosea Pala – Nyadhi Parish to Nyawita Parish and Rev. Michael Omoro – Nyadhi Parish.

Other changes saw Rev. John Paul Okite – Mariwa Parish and Rev. Samson Otieno – Tido Parish to Chulaimbo Parish within Kisumu County.

Bishop Onginjo also moved Rev. Kenneth Arodi – Chulaimbo Parish to Tido Parish and Rev. Emmanuel Oliech – and Bishop’s Chaplain, Hon Priest St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Kisumu city mlimani estate.

Rev. Rosemary Raburu – St. Luke’s Ramba Parish and shuttled Rev. Elizabeth Okech – St. Ann Riat Parish, from Curate.

These changes reflect a commitment to revitalizing the church’s mission and outreach within the community, Bishop Onginjo explained in the justification of the new movements to boost spiritual guidance and services within its religious turf.
