United Nations based professional consultant Ben Migore has upped up quest for the ’empty’ Suna West MP seat with an empowerment event slotted in April this year.

Migore has organised the constituency first empowerment drive and did so in a big way by using a billboard at the center of Migori Town, just at the busy river Migori bridge.

“We have politicians who are only keen on organising football tournaments, I have taken new path of economic empowerment which will offer Suna West the glimpse of what they will get once I am confirmed as their MP in next polls,” he said.

Migore said his team and friends from Migori, Kenya and abroad helped undertake the drive which will call on comedians, talented and entrepreneurs in Suna West to help participate in a bid to get funding of their dreams.

“I see a Suna West where entrepreneurship is nurtured, where opportunities to boost our economy is our ultimate dream,” he said.

In 2017 Migore took his first bid at the Suna West MP race where he was vying on an ODM ticket which was won by Joseph Ndiege then in party primaries.

In the general elections Peter Masara won on an Independent ticket and was re-elected in the last polls on ODM ticket.

“I never left the ODM party, I took an hiatus after the primaries and this time I am back on the same ticket,” Migore said.

He called on ODM party leaders to tone down on war of words believing there is room for all.

“We are guided by the spirit of the late Raila Odinga in leadership, Luo Unity and push for equity and development. That will be my guiding light,” he added.
