32 exhibitors for Migori ASK Show at Lichota

32 exhibitors will showcase their products today at Migori ASK show to be held outside Migori town for the first time at Lichota Farm.

And county residents have been challenged to take the upcoming Agricultural show serious and not just as an entertainment occasion.

The show which is schedule for 9th to 11th October 2014 will be officially opened by governor Okoth Obado

It is expected to bring on board more important exhibitions than before which are instrumental in the development of agricultural sector in the county.

Addressing Migori News in her office, county Executive committee member in charge Agriculture, Isca Oluoch said that the upcoming show is coming with a lot of new ideas and tools which will benefit farmers.

She urged the residents to make good use of the Agriculture show so as to acquire new skill that are relevant to their farming activities.

She said they have received more than 31 exhibitioners who have new ideas that are useful to traders, farmers and students.

Oluoch also assured the entire participant and the residents of Migori a better security within and around the show ground.

She said the ministry is working with the office of the county police commander to ensure that enough security is beefed up during the whole period of the Show.

She however urged the participants to take personal initiative in providing security by reporting any cases which may interfere with the tranquility of the occasion.

The theme of the show is “Enhancing Technology in Agriculture and Industry for Food Security.”
