Former Nyamira senator, presidential candidate Okong’o launches a book on “Why Donald J. Trump Must Win 2024,”

A maverick Nyanza politician and former journalist has launched a book delving in the forthcoming United Sates general elections slotted for Tuesday, 5 November 2024..

Former Nyamira senator and journalist Senator Mong’are Okong’o released the book titled “Why Donald J. Trump Must Win 2024,” which brings in analysis on why the win will be good not only for USA voters but also the world.

Okong’o says in the book that Republican Party candidate Trump wins is significant giving trends and analysis on why he is best poised to win the race.

He first captures themes shaping the elections as voters go to the ballot, American future, demographics and dynamics of the race.

The book also aptly chances of Trump vis-à-vis Democratic party candidate Vice President Kamala Harris after president Joe Biden withdrew from the race.

“Why Donald J. Trump Must Win 2024” also scrutinizes the various actors and their strategies, from the halls of Congress to the bustling campaign trail.

Mong’are, is a maverick politician who once declared that that will vie for the presidency in 2017 general elections before backing off five months later.

Just like Trump who promised to drain the swamp and rid Washington DC, American capital, of corruption and establishment politics, Mong’are also came in because Kenyans are tired of the dominance by the families of the leading lights of the ruling administration and the opposition.

Mong’are was born on 1 March 1969 in Nyamira and was elected as the first county senator Under Ford Kenya which was under CORD Alliance.

He is the seventh born child to the late Peter Okong’o Omenge and Bethsheba Okong’o and did his A-levels studies at Sameta high school.

He worked as a journalist with the Standard and Kenya Times in the country and also in India with the Indore Times.

He has degrees in political science, philosophy, psychologuu, law and journalism from Kenya and India colleges.

He first joined politics in 2002 where he vied for West Mugirango MP seat with Kenya Republican Reformation party ticket and lost to the then incumbent Henry Onyancha Obwocha.

His second stab at the seat in in 2007 was also unsuccessful after he lost to Dr. James Gesami before winning the senator seat in 2013.
