#AD Senator Eddy invites PS Raymond, Gov Ayacko for police post and empowerment functions in Uriri and Awendo

Migori senator Eddy Oketch has planned two major functions in the county in a bid to fulfill his campaign pledges in the last elections.

On January 17 at 10am for Central Sakwa and 1pm at Nortth Sakwa over 20 Awendo constituency women and youth groups will benefit from an empowerment harambee which will also include senators Tom Ojienda (Kisumu), Edwin Sifuna (Nairobi and ODM Secretary General) and MPs Jalang’o Phelix (Lang’ata), Otiende Amollo (Rarieda) and Zaheer Jhanda (Nyaribari Chache).

On January 19 at 100am Miruya police station Dr Raymond Omollo Principal Secretary interior and national administration for lower uririr and upper Nyatike.

“All is set for the two functions and already we have visited the ground to set all plans rolling, apart from these leaders we have also personally invited Migori governor Ochillo Ayacko,” Henry Otieno Ojuki, the manager at senator’s office said.

Ojuki said the police post will be key in stabilizing security between communities living in Uriri and Nyatike constituencies, a pledge the senator gave to residents while campaigning.

Zulekha Hassan, the deputy manager at the office said the women and youth groups will benefit from table banking and with some having plans to invest in the transport sector.

“We will touch lives of Awendo youths and women as the groups cut across all economic sector in the area,” Hassan.
