Chief and son who attacked Makabong’o’s son face robbery with violence charges

The North Kanyajuok assistant chief and his son who attacked Migori ODM chairman Phillip Makabong’o have been arraigned in court with robbery with violence charges.

The administrator Joseph Nyamanga alias Chief and his son Kennedy Nyamanga on Monday appeared before Rongo Senior Resident Magistrate Raymond Langat.

They are accused of attacking and robbing Patrick Odhiambo Makabong’o “while armed with dangerous weapons named rungus and panga.”

Their victim lost an infinix phone worth Sh18,000 and Ksh21,000 in cash and suffered harm during and after the ordeal

The two suspects denied the charges and were each released on Sh200.000 bond and surety of the same amount.

They will report to Kamagambo Police Station every first and last Friday of each month pending the mention of the case on January 25 and hearing on February 25.
