Shock has gripped community at Nyalunya Mixed Secondary School in Kisumu county after a form three student murdered his class mate girlfriend.
Police in Kisumu said they have started investigating what might have killed the girl, 18, whose decomposing body was discovered inside her boyfriend’s house in Kolwa Central.

Area Chief Elijah Otieno Omumbo said they suspect tried to commit suicide and is being held at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH).
“Curious neighbours reported to the village elder about a weird smell and flies coming from the suspect’s rental house, police were then informed and they broke into the house where the decomposing body of the girl was found covered with a mattress,” he said.

Police found blood stains on the floor showing the body was murdered in the room, the body was moved to JOOTRH mortuary.
