Uriri member of parliament Mark Nyamita has come out to castigate the new curriculum that he says does not have enough funding for co-curriculum activities.
The legislator said that the new education curriculum only provides for funding of books, stationeries and school infrastructure but does not allow and state how the funding of co-curriculum activities will be done.
The legislator was speaking when he met school heads and principals at his offices in Uriri to discuss the way forward on how to improve education standards in the sub county.
The legislator said that he was ready to table a bill in parliament to compel the education stakeholders to state how the co-curriculum activities will be funded in order to make it possible for sports activities to prevail and provide for the growth of talents.
