Kuria West MP aspirant Matiko Bohoko has denied claims that that Cord leader Raila Odinga ignored him and endorsed fellow journalist Rashid Ronald.
Bohoko said earlier report by Migori News (Published here) was misplaced as he waited to talk last after Rashid because of his seniority in politics.
“I was on the podium and was to speak last after Rashid and another colleague Maneno Mwikwabe who is running for the Kuria East parliamentary seat. I was to speak last by order of seniority in politics,” he posted on his FB profile.
After shaking Raila’s hand, the party did not say anything but boarded a chopper back to Nairobi.
“He did not utter any word,” he said.
“I was not shaken by Baba’s action because I believe and i’m confidentof being ODM candidate who will deliver the the Kuria West seat,” he said.
He added that politics of endorsement in Kuria never works.
“Party politics in Kuria also don’t win elections. It’s the individuals and their strategy that win elections in Kuria.” he warned.
He said if indeed Rashid was endorsed then they will still meet in the ballot.
