Angry mob lynched a suspect who murdered a supporter of area MP Dalmas Otieno three weeks ago.

The man who is yet to be identified was suspect to be among a gang that murdered Joseph Ondieki at Center Inn pub within Rongo town.

Ondieki was attacked and brutally murdered during an altercation at the pub.

The suspect was spoted by boda boda riders at Opapo center who gave him a chase and nabbed him when he sought shelter at nearby St. Bonaventure Secondary School.

Area police boss Jonathan Kisaka said the mob threatened to burn a classroom after the suspect locked himself in.

Robison Ouru, one of teachers at the school alerted police who arrived at the scene outside the school and found the suspect was already dead.

“We are still investigation the two murders and will arrest those behind the lynching of the suspect,” Kisaka said.

He said the body of the deceased was taken to Migori Level Four hospital mortuary.
