Migori county students have received uniform donation from their counter[arts from United States.
The students from Ongoche and Nyandema primary schools in Nyatike sub-county, Migori received the support from the French-American School of New York.
The United States school’s students’ club made a collection through Machage Ondiko, a teacher from the area and sent the donation to their counterparts in Africa.
The distribution of the first 40 beneficiaries was done through Ong’oche Community Based Organisation led by their chairman Odoyo Alfred and Secretary Florence Achieng.
“We had challenge of school uniform which caused school dropout, we thank Ondiko who went to school from this area for pushing through the initiative,” Odoyo said.
Students who received donation thanked the gesture.

I am impressed by your gesture of helping the less fortunate in our community. Thank you so much French – American New York school.
