JUST IN: Gwonyo, three pro-Ayacko MCAs elected in Uriri ODM elections

West Kanyamkago ward candidate in the last polls Bernard Omondi ‘Gwonyo’ and three pro governor Ochillo Ayacko MCAs have been elected in the Uriri constituency Orange Democratic Movement elections.

Earlier the venue set for the election by the party National Election Board at Piny Owacho center was marred with violence when youths clashed and used crude weapons to disrupt the process.

“A group supporting some people started pelting us with stone and to avert violence we sought guidance from the party and our official returning officer Killion Opere where we sought the exercise elsewhere,” Gwonyo said.

He was addressing the press at Mukuyu Primary School grounds.

Here is the list he availed:

  1. Chairman- Bernard Ogwonyo Omondi
  2. Deputy Chairman- Dan Omoso
  3. Secretary General- Sammmy Ongaro
  4. Deputy Secretary General- Joseph Adeye
  5. Treasurer- Mary Obewa
  6. Deputy Treasurer- Anne ATIENO Otieno
  7. Organising Secretary- William Ojala
  8. Deputy Organising General- Luke Obuoyo
  9. Youth Leader- Barrack Ochieng
  10. Women Affairs- Grace Oyugi
  11. PWDs- Sammy Mirodho

The party also picked eight delegates for mainstream, among them three MCAs out of five in Uriri. Here is the list.

“This is the list that has lasted the loyalty, fidelity and faithfulness to the party threshold and we will strengthen the party against rebels in Uriri and Migori,” Gwonyo said.
