Abducted Siaya assistant chief found unconscious in a Migori bush, rushed to hospital

Police have launched investigations after an abducted assistant chief from Siaya county was found in a bush in Migori county.

Christine  Omamo, the Oriang  sublocation assistant chief from Alego -Usonga sub county was found unconscious over 150 kilometers from Siaya county in a bush in Migori county.

Her colleagues were on high alert after her abduction was reported in their WhatsApp group and when locals from Masara village in Suna West sub-county reported finding unconscious woman in a bush her colleagues rushed to the scene.

Suna lower location senior chief Yogo Tumbo said when they heard the news he sent his junior George Onyango Opondo to the scene.

The report was issued on December 29 at about 8pm and officers from Masara police station rushed to the bush.

Police report said the civil servant was abducted by two men dressed in police uniform on December 27 at about 10am when she went to print minutes of meetings at a area ACC’s office.

“I also confirmed from her that she was abducted by two men who were dresed in  police uniform at around 10.00 am on 27/12 2024 when she went to type minutes for a meeting they held at  their ACC’s office .

“The abductors were armed with pistol, they took her up to KEROKA in Nyamira county is when later on brought her and dumped her at Masara area with her eyes closed,” a police report seen by Nyanza News said.

She was taken to Mascow private hospital in Masara small town with doctors stabilising her condition after she complain of pain and slurred speech.

By December 30 evening her family had been contacted and she was taken to a hospital.
