Migori county woman representative Bevin Bhoke has up political heat on the incumbent Fatuma Mohammed as supporters put up a football tournament in her favour.
The Friends of Bevin Bhoke Tournament Kuria West sub-county chapter will kick off a day after Christmas on boxing day at Kubweye School grounds after teams from all seven wards in the expansive constituency slough it offf.
In addition to having tournament and games, the tournament will offer a chance for youths in and out of school to have mentorship and career fair talks by experts and mentors from Migori and the country.
“We decided to bring youths together during this festive season to first keep them busy, nurture their talent and offer career and life mentorship,” Bhoke said.
Speaking to Nyanza News over the phone, the politician said they will utilise all available opportunities to bring change in the county.
“My friends from Kuria West and not only in Migori and Kenya but also abroad came together to bring this tournament which will also be rolled out across eight constituencies,” Bhoke said.
“To support this events we will move to touch the lives, have meaningful agenda which i believe will make Migori better than what we have,” she said.
So far here is how teams will be awarded:
- 1st Place= 50k + Jersey+ ball
- 2nd place = 30k + Jersey+ ball
- 3rd Place= 20k + Jersey+ ball
- 4th Place = 10k + Jersey + ball
- 5th = Jersey + ball
- 6th = Jersey + ball
- 7th = Jersey + ball
- 8th = Jersey + ball
