Nyanza Regional Comm. Warns Criminals For Fueling Kuria-Kipsigis Tension Along Migori-Narok Counties

Nyanza Regional Commissioner Flora Mworoa has warned criminals from stocking tension between two communities in Narok and Migori counties.

Mworoa said it was unfortunate that criminals from both Kuria and Kipsigis comunities have been stocking tension over land and cattle rustling in the area.

She said government have worked closely with peace actors and efforts were paying off.

“What we have are individual criminals who are using tension here to pass through their activities, they will be charged soon,” Mworoa said.

She said those living around Baragoi area should resolve to have peaceful co-existEnce between them and clan elders should sensitize members to embrace peace and cohesion.
