Migori county residents have said they have been left in the cold in recent political bro-mance between President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Local Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and residents said recent appointments by Raila in his party leadership position and recent appointments by Ruto in government have left the county out.
They complained that attempts by Migori governor Ochillo Ayacko to be the national chairman was shelved in favour of Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga.
Homa Bay also produced former ODM chair and nominated MP John Mbadi to the powerful Treasury Cabinet Secretary and has Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
Migori though got a consolation in having Rahab Robi, county executive appointed in the ODM national executive council under as left the Publicity and Media relations.
Robi’s position was held in the past by former Migori Woman Representative Dennitah Ghati.
The county too has a Social Protection Principal Secretary Joseph Motari.
But all three positions are held by the minority Kuria community making the larger Luo community to feel left out.
