Leaders and neighbours mourned the Siaya High Court presiding Judge Daniel Ogola Ogembo as a humane, judicial and shy person.

Sombre mood engulfed Kakrao village in Suna East constituency on August 2 during his burial at his family home.

“In University i was a class behind him, he was socially shy but from those time in college he looked destined to work in judiciary,” Migori governor Ochillo Ayacko said.

Ogembo is said to have been found dead at his home in Siaya on Wednesday.

He had worked for the better part of Tuesday, July 16 before he retired home alone.

The driver had to seek help to access the house where the body was found, police said.

“His death really shocked us not only as those in the law fraternity, but also as Migori residents,” Ayacko said.

The governor said while he was socially shy, the justice was a smart student to the time they were in college.

“He is one person who look like a judge in his demeanor even in college, he was a good man and looked judicious. I knew he was to end up in judiciary,” Ayacko said.
