We put the spotlight on Kisii County, one of the six in former Nyanza region under special coverage of Nyanza News.

Kisii covers an area of 1,318 square kilometers with a total of 45 wards and 9 constituencies, making it the most populous in the region.

Kisii town is the headquarters.

Out of 45 wards, a total of 12 parties swooped and are represented in the assembly showing diverse and maturity of democracy. Only three candidates were elected on an independent ticket.

This also saw 26 nomination slots which were equally shared among 9 parties with Orange Democratic Party being the Majority between 2022-27.
