Suna Central MCA Samuel Obrien has fulfilled his election pledge by opening the road leading to Ochieng’ Orwa Primary School, which is among Sh11million projects in the ward.
Obrien said despite being elected in a middle of a financial year, he has managed to secure more projects and residents should count more projects to come.
“We have better and more robust projects in the coming financial year, we will come stronger and fulfill our campaign pledges to voters,” Obrien said.
He said during campaigns he had pledged to open the road to Ochieng’ Orwa Primary School where vehicles and motorbikes accessing the institution have been having challenges.
“We have opened the road and it will be constantly maintained,” he said.
He said other projects in the ward he has managed to push before the close of this financial year area:
- Opening of Ochieng Orwa Primary School access road
- Nyasare-Apida-Migori Town Bridge Road
- Road around Magina Marabu SDA Church
- Road leading to Onyalo Mixed Secondary School
- Road leading to Anding’o center
- Maintainence ahead of tarmacking Mapera Road and Got Kachacha area (to start in weeks)
- Dugna-Kadika road
- Road leading to Kogejoo area
- Drilling a water borehole at Onyalo
- ECDE classes at Lichota and Ombo Primary Schools
- Renovation of Midoti Market
- Sh1.1million for Nyamware Dispensary
