A meeting in the Orange Democratic Movement headquarters to issue a direct ticket has created a heavy backlash.
This came after a decision to issue a direct ticket to senator Ochillo Ayacko after an opinion polls results ranked him as the most popular candidate in the race.
Sources told Migori News the results were announced by ODM national chairman John Mbadi and immediatedly got a backlash.

- Senator Ochillo Ayacko, 55 per cent
- Woman Representative Pamella Odhiambo, 17 per cent
- Former Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno, 15 per cent (Even though he is on Jubilee Party ticket)
- Others, 13 per cent
This results have seen the decision to hand over a direct ticket to Ayacko hitting a snag as sources said Suna East MP Junet Mohammed said another polls will be carried out from tomorrow and results released on Sunday.
