Migori Woman Representative Pamela Odhiambo on Friday held a parallel rally in Migori Town, amid another organized by his main rival.
Odhiambo marshalled up elders from Suna East, Suna West and Nyatike constituencies for a coronation exercise.

This came as ODM party organized a rally at Posta grounds in Migori Town, which has been marred by tension.
The rally at Posta grounds is seen as an endorsement for senator Ochillo Ayacko.

“I heard in the morning at Posta grounds that the rally was meant for all aspirants, but I just saw that banners for one aspirant was there,” Odhiambo said.
Odhiambo said she called party headquarters to get clarity of the event and was told the banner was removed.

“I heard party officials claim there was to be violence at Posta grounds, if the meeting is for an aspirant I won’t make it. But if it is for ODM I will walk in,” Odhiambo said.
Odhiambo said she was against violence that is why she sought clarity on the venue.
Yesterday, ODM county officials led by chairman Philip Makabong’o and Joseph Olala, chairman and secretary respectively, insisted the Posta rally was an ODM affair.
“We will unveil all party aspirants at the event, it is a party event,” Makabong’o said.
The two said there was reports of plans for violence at the Posta venue and warned all aspirants to maintain peace.
Odhiambo and Ayacko are both governor aspirants in the forthcoming polls under the ODM ticket.
