Suna East voters will enjoy the first NG-CDF funded sports tournament for the first time in a decade before the end if this year, MP aspirant Elijah Odhiambo has said.

Odhiambo said “nurturing sporting talents and ensuring two per cent set aside for sports in NG-CDF kitty is not swindled again,” is among the biggest agenda in his development blue print.

In an interview with Migori News in Migori town after he was awarded the covered price of best CEC, Odhiambo said he will also build a total of five schools as a political pledge and add to other when picked by community.

“We will first ensure Midoti Mixed Secondary school is fully registered and the Kakrao Technical College is completed as the two stand out as a eyesore and a symbol of poor leadership in Suna East, which i will reverse after being elected on August 9,” he said.

He pledged to build new primary schools in Apida, Yath Ngima, Kisumu Ndogo and a build a secondary school at Sangla area, “these institutions have been begged from voters for the past decade, we will change the narrative completely.”\

“We never have public participation in Suna East that is why street lights, road networks, NHIF coverage, electricity connection and transparent bursary issaunce have been admired by Suna East voters from other constituencies,” he said.

“We will have a constituency where public resources are invested to address priorities of the citizens identified through meaningful public participation,” he said.

Odhiambo seeks to unseat the incumbent Junet Mohammed, in a seat that has also attracted Elias Okumu, Samuel Amimo among others
