Former Migori senator Wilfred Machage will be buried on March 4, next Friday at his Kehancha home in Kuria West constituency next to his late mother.

Machage’s first born son Stephen Machage said this was Machage’s last wishes and he had issued clear instructions on how he will be interred.

He leaves a wife, Claris Machage and several children and grand children.

“He was clear on where he wants to be buried. We are going to execute his wishes. The family would want to bury the late ambassador as early as possible as he never liked funerals that extend for a long time,” Machage’s son said.

Machage collapsed in front of his wife at his home in Abuja, Nigeria and died aged 65 years when he was being rushed to hospital.

John Magaiwa, an elder said Machage will be accorded rites under the Kuria culture since he was elected leader from the community both as a senator and legislator for two terms.
