Steve Ogony officially launches Kachieng’ MCA bid under ODM ticket

Steve Ogony on Sunday launched his bid for Kachieng’ MCA seat in a convoy that snaked its way in the ward and ended up in Sori town.

Ogony said after deep soul searching, consulting with elders and stakeholders in the ward which is in Nyatike constituency he decided to vie for the seat.

“My party will be under the Orange Democratic Movement ticket, i am confident of ensuring the party is represented in the ward and entire county,” Ogony said.

He said his main priority will be to revamp and revitalize the Lake Victoria fishing and transport industry and ensure the ward and Sori town becomes an economic hub.

“I will revamp the ward and help boost the fishing industry which is devolved by making a conduscive environemnt for investors,” he said.

He said current ward leaderships have been underming the party at county level, a trend he said he will ensure is reversed.

Ogony has been the Personal Assistant of Nyatike MP Tom Odege and has been key in ensuring Karungu community is intact politically.
