Immediate former Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno has insisted he is still in the race to inherit the governor seat once Okoth Obado heads home on August 9.
Since resigning as a member of Salaries and Remuneration Commission board by February 8, Otieno has been missing in action on the ground which started swelling rumours he was broke or backed off from the race.
Some even wondered if he actually resigned.
“I am firmly in the race for governor for 2022,” Otieno said in a pre-recorded audio which was set to dispel the rumours.
Otieno said his bid will enhance critical development and rise the living standards of Migori people.
He said once elected he will ensure full employment to all residents.
