Kosodo Primary School community has asked Rongo MP Paul Abuor to help them repair four dilapidated classrooms before schools reopened.
During the closer of last term, students were forced to learn in open air for fear of the classrooms colapsing on them.
The community now wants Abuor to take a swift action under the priviledges of the national government constituency development fund to construct more classrooms that will help accommodate learners next term.

Mary Odhiambo, the headteacher said they will be forced to learn under trees despite area receiving frequent rains.
“We will need to consolidate on the way forward concerning the situation at the learning institution, we call on well wishers to help the school acquire more classes for the students,” she said.

She said the dilapidated classrooms were built several years ago and over 400 pupils will be affected as a result on the condition of their classrooms.
“Over 400 pupils are affected and will from next term forced to have their lessons in the open because the walls can come down anytime causing death or injury on them. I therefore called the parents to School to chat way forward on the situation. I wish to humbly request well-wishers to help reconstruct more classrooms that will help accommodate the affected learners.” Said Odhiambo.
Parents led by Benard Ogalo slamed the MP for failure to renovate the classroom structures telling him to support the institution before they lose their children in any form of accident that may be caused by the buildings going down.
“It’s a pity that the structures are in such state that can even kill over 400 pupils yet we have a member of Parliament elected by electorates whose children are learning at the school. We want him to move swiftly and ensure that the children will be able to learn inside classrooms where they can attend to their lessons comfortably enough.” said Ogalo.
