What started out as an innocent post on Migori Republican Council- MRC, a popular Facebook group turned into a 2022 Woman Representative battle.

A group member. Kennedy Ochieng’ posted complaining that it seems all sitting legislators in Migori have thrown their weight behind their colleague, nominated MP Dennitah Ghati who was also the first county Woman Representative.

“Stop forcing us with the lady from Kuria who worked before, we don’t want Ghati we want Zilpa Audline, i am done,” Kennedy Ochieng’ said.

In the post, Ochieng’ complained that Uriri MP Mark Nyamita, Nyatike MP Tom Odege, Suna West MP Peter Masara, Rongo MP Paul Abuor and senator Ochillo Ayacko have been campaigning for Ghati.

But in a quick rejoinder, Ghati told the user to pick his voters card and meet with her on the ballot.

“Take your vote and be ready with it,” Ghati posted.

In a counter move, Audline moved in with her own reply to Ghati: “I must remember you with nominations, you are my sister.”
