Nominated MP Dennitah Ghati has said five projects under the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) she initiated while in office as a woman representative are still standing.

Ghati said she pioneered the establishment of five projects since being elected in 2013 as a Woman Representative despite the NGAAF being allocated to the office only two financial years to 2017 general elections.

Here are the projects:

  • The Awendo Youth ICT Centre
  • The Nguruna Gender Based Violence Centre, Kuria East.
  • The MihuruBay Women Market Shed in Nyatike.
  • The Nyankore Market shed in Tagare ward, Kuria West.
  • The Nyaburu market shed in East Kamagambo ward, Rongo Constituency.

“These are all visible, legacy projects that I initiated in Migori County and I will work to increase more projects when i am elected back to my seat in 2022 general elections,” Ghati told Migori News.

Ghati lost the seat in 2017 to the incumbent Pamela Odhiambo who will vie for the governor seat.
