Migori governor Okoth Obado has given a very strong hint that he will work with Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 by supporting his economic model.
In a heavy political statement on Sunday at Kamagambo Adventist College accompanied by Ruto’s key ally South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, Obado said he supports the bottoms-up economic model.
The governor supported Ruto and said he has been attacked by malice and propaganda.
He said Kenyans have been treated to “a lot of malice and propaganda against the bottom up election model.”
“The bottom-up model, those who have read some economics will agree is a multiplier effect. Like if you have Sh1,000 and give it to an individual it will only benefit one person compared to a group which will create jobs,” he said.
Statement which was strongly supported by Osoro.
“What we are saying with Obado is for our rivals to give us alternative economic model instead of trivilising what others have put in place. Kenyans need a development model where instead of investing billions at the top of government and we need the money to be invested from villages,” Osoro said.
They were speaking on Sunday at Kamagambo Adventist College.
