Siala Institute students fight over Sh50,000 handout from MP Abuor

Students and community at Siala Institute in Rongo had to physically scramble over Sh50,000 handout by Rongo MP Paul Abuor.

Abuor went to the institution to hand over a dining hall built by the NG-CDF kitty and gave them the money for ‘lunch’ which provoked a stampede after he left.

The students traded kicks and blows to grab the money from their officials who attempted to escape in vain.

That commotion delayed the process of opening and handing over the project to the administration who watched helplessly for hours before security team who responded to alarm raised restore calm

The CDF funded project consumed Sh9.3millionm, and despite the mishap the principal Mrs Asha thanked Abuor for the project.

Siala is offering quality training on competitive courses and demand for admission is high and principal is pleading for financial and material support to enable the institution put up buildings to accommodate lever increasing demand for training process as the institution has to observe restrictions imposed by relevant  authorities to contain spread of the virus among trainees.
