Migori speaker Boaz Okoth has blamed the ongoing attempt to impeach him on a senior member of his staff and his political ally governor Okoth Obado in a leaked phonecall.

In a leaked phone call heard by Migori News the speaker angrily says the attempt to have him axed can be taken to county treasurer Evans Ogutu who is also Obado’s son-in-law.

The conversation is between nominated MCA Caroline Okere and the speaker who complains how he has been covering for Ogutu and Obado.

“I have been defending and covering Evans, he has been on Facebook when he builds house and fly on planes. Each time complains of him stealing funds come i have covered him requesting evidence,” Okoth is heard saying.

Okere is heard laughing and telling Boaz that he is tough and will pass the impeachment storm after he also changed the County Public Investment and Accounts Committee (CPIAC) and other internal positions.

Okere consoles him that Migori is for all residents.

“If Obado wants to go with his children, then it will be quickly,” Okoth is heard saying

He complains that he talked with the governor, without explaining the subject but complained “it is not done like that, it is not done like that.”

The two, Okere and Okoth promise to meet and touch base on the politics with Okere vowing: “I will not go against you (Boaz) you are my mogo (unga/food). If I hear that I have slighted you then know i would have urinated and pooed on my clothes.”
