Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko bid to be the second governor received a major boost after he was acknowledged in public by Kuria West MP Mathias Robi.

Robin acknowledged Ayacko, who died for the governor post in the 2017 general elections.

“If Ayacko comes with proper agenda for Kuria, I will support him in the ODM ticket. I called you the governor when I called you to talk, and i will support you,” Robi said.

In the same breath, he said the only point they will differ is at the presidential election as he will support Deputy President Williams Ruto while Ayacko will be in Raila Odinga corner.

He was speaking at the funeral of Nyamaharaga Primary School, Diana Nchagwa in Isebania which was also attended by Ayacko.

“Today as we pray for Nchagwa soul, my the church also pray for Robi’s wish as I believed we I’ll for the next county government with me as the governor which will include the Kuria community,” Ayacko joked.

He said since being elected as the senator, he has help increase the county allocation by Sh1.2bn.

“We have passed a law for pending bills to be paid within this financial year. Small businesses will not wait for long to get their payment,” he said.

“I have played my oversight role, and you have heard of people complaining, on that front my work speaks of itself,” Ayacko said.

He said he stood with the Kuria community when they were seeking a municipality in the World Bank project and helped their son Kerario Marwa who was seeking the speaker seat.

“When elected governor i will maintain workers from Kuria and give them power as executives, Chief officers, directors and any other post to bring change to people. Not just empty positions as we see now,” he said.
