Migori senator Ochillo Ayacko has addressed talks that he has never addressed the county assembly ever since he was elected.
Speaking to Migori News over the phone on Mach 25, Ayacko said he will address the assembly, “but at the appropriate time.”
During the passing of the Constitution Amendment Bill 2020 “BBI Bill” at the assembly speaker Boaz Okoth said Ayacko was among leader who were invited to attend the process and did not turn up.
“I will address the assembly at the most appropriate time, I can confirm though I was never invited during the passing of the bill,” he said.
He said the senate is planning to visit Migori county assembly which will also go in line with nearby Kisii and Homa Bay counties.
“The senate will visit the Migori assembly including Kisii and Homa Bay counties, the main agenda will be their oversight role and challenges they face,” Ayacko said.
He accused Boaz of stalling any attempt for him to address the assembly and prevent any MCAs from inviting him.
“He (Boaz) as the leadership of the assembly has been using chance in every funeral he finds to claim falsely that I have been antagonizing him,” he said.
Both Ayacko and Boaz will vie for the governor seat in next polls to replace Okoth Obado whose term ends by 2022 general elections.
