Police in Ntimaru town are holding a woman following the death of her lover in a local lodging.

The man, 59, checked in with his mpango-wa-kando since 2013 at Urembo Bar in Ntimaru town and ordered for his date soda and bread.

The bar owner told police that the man proceeded in the room and left his lover who was to join him later.

The man took viagra in the room, but when the lady joined him they couldn’t have sex as the lady was menstruating.

“The lady could not perform leaving the man high and dry,” Ntimaru OCPD John Losia.

Losia said started groaning while turning himself on the bar’s bed.

The Ntimaru police boss said the lady rushed to the bar’s attendant and asked him to check on the man.

“His son was called and attempt to rush him to a local private hospital failed as he died,” Losia said.

He said the woman is held at Ntimaru police station.

The body was taken to Migori Level Four Hospital for post-mortem examination.
